Tired of paying for lip balm? Why not make your own?

Licensed esthetician and host of Ulive's "EstheKitchen" Jessica Bartley shows us how to do just that … in your own kitchen!

Not only is it super simple and inexpensive, it makes for a great gift!

Here's what you'll need:

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons beeswax (which you can find at any craft store or Etsy.com)
  • 1 vitamin E capsule
  • Scented essential oil (Jessica uses peppermint)

Step 1: Combine olive oil, coconut oil, beeswax, and vitamin E in a microwaveable jar. (Use a pin to puncture the vitamin E capsule)

Step 2: Microwave jar for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until contents are melted. Remove from microwave.

Step 3: Add 15 drops essential oil and stir to combine.

Step 4: Pour into lip balm tubes or recycled mint tins. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes.

And that's all there is to it!

Watch the video above and never buy another tube of lip balm again.
