Justin Bieber is not giving up on Selena Gomez.

Since the news surfaced that the two were no longer a couple, Bieber has been in a solemn mood.

In an interview with the Open House Party radio show on Saturday, Bieber was at a loss for words.

"I don't know what to say," he said, neither confirming nor denying the news.

"I don't know what's going on in my life. To even assess that it doesn't make sense 'cause I have not made any comment."

While Bieber is continuing to sulk, even singing an acoustic version of Justin Timberlake's famous breakup song "Cry Me a River" at his concert in Boston on Saturday, a source close to the former couple told TMZ that a reconciliation is not out of the question.

Allegedly Bieber believes there is a good chance the two will get back together.

On Friday, E! Online revealed that the couple had split a week ago with Gomez being the one who ultimately decided to end things.

"Because of their crazy schedules, it was getting harder and harder to maintain a relationship," the source told the entertainment site.

Rumors about the breakup started flying over the past two weeks, especially after Bieber was spotted in public with Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin, 19, who went with him to see "The Lion King" on Broadway.

The 20-year-old Gomez and Bieber, 18, went public with their romance in February 2011, when they attended the Vanity Fair party together after the Oscars ceremony.
