Woman Survives 4 Days Trapped in Bathroom After Fall

TOWNSVILLE, Australia – A 75-year-old woman was Tuesday recovering in Townsville Hospital, north-eastern Australia, after spending four days trapped in her bathroom following a fall.

Emergency services, contacted by neighbors, broke down the woman's front door at her suburban home in Townsville, about 870 miles north of Queensland state capital Brisbane on Monday.

A neighbor said the elderly woman had insisted she was OK and witnesses at the scene reported she then struck a worker in the face after they removed her from her home.
