Nassau Candy Distributors issued a voluntary, nationwide recall of their Nancy Adams Classic Mini S’Mores because they may contain peanuts not listed on the label, the Food and Drug Administration reported.

People who have an allergy to peanuts may suffer a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product, the FDA warned.

The Nancy Adams Classic Mini S’Mores were sold nationwide in a red and silver box with a manufacturing code of either I1119 or I1120.

The recall was initiated after the company received a report that a unit purchased at a store contained undeclared peanuts. A subsequent investigation found that some bags of peanut clusters may have inadvertently been packed into boxes of the s’mores.

All of the retail stores have been notified, and the affected product is being removed from the shelves and discarded.

Consumers who have questions about the recall may call 1-516-433-7100, extension 7297 or 7287 for more information.
