'Seize the day'

I am now entering my second week of the phase I clinical trial.

I am not sure if I am feeling a little crummy because I have the flu, or if I am experiencing side effects from the chemo.  At any rate, in true form, I am pushing ahead.

I live by the "shop 'til you drop" code, so I am on a road trip with my son, which we have been planning for months.  Every so often, the study allows you a few days' reprieve from the hospital setting. They give you the chemo pills, and you fill out a log, which shows the time you took the pills...twice a day.  For this reason, I definitely did not want to miss this trip.

In my world, you never know if the chance will present itself again.
