A New Jersey company has issued a recall for 30,200 pounds of grated parmesan cheese because it contains some egg, an undeclared allergen.

The cheese, Bella Rosa Grated Parmesan Cheese in 1.25 pound packages, has been recalled by Arthur Schuman Inc. of Fairfield, N.J. It was sold exclusively through BJ’s Wholesale Clubs and distributed in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Ohio.

The suspect product can be identified by “Sell by Dates” of July 13, 2015, August 17, 2015, and September 10, 2015.It was sold in clear plastic jars.

According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), no illnesses have been reported to date.

The product was voluntarily recalled because it was found to contain egg lysozyme, without declaration on the label.

Consumers who purchased the suspect product are urged to return it to any BJ’s Wholesale Club store for a full refund.
