Gerber has recalled infant formula due to complaints of foul odor and gastrointestinal problems, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

“Gerber notified the public that it recalled one lot of Gerber Good Start Gentle Powdered Infant Formula, 23.2 ounce plastic package, because the affected product might have an off-odor – noticeable to some consumers,” the FDA said in a statement.

“In some cases, spit-up and other gastrointestinal complaints have been reported."
Gerber said the product does not pose a health or safety risk.

The formula’s batch number is GXP1684, and the product has a March 5, 2013, expiration date.
