A California sperm bank is trying to put a face on sperm donors by comparing their physical features to celebrities, NBC Los Angeles reported.

Vaughn Woodson knew her sperm donor was tall, blue-eyed and played high school football. But because she chose to go to California Cryobank in Brentwood, Calif., she also knew her donor had features resembling Steven Colbert, John Hamm and Scott Bakula.

The sperm bank lists the anonymous donors with celebrities who resemble them. But the company admits that the comparisons are far more art than science.

Beyond a donor resembling an attractive celebrity, clients who are in a relationship want a donor who resembles the father, according to the report.

Even with an idea of what donors look like, people like Woodson still have a lot of information to sort through.

Donors have to meet certain requirements, including being at least 5-foot, 9-inches, provide three generations of family medical history, be tested for many diseases and even write a personal essay.

California Cryobank won’t use George Clooney or Brad Pitt as celebrities who resemble their donors for fear of a run on the bank.
