While Sandra Bullock’s ease of acting can oftentimes appear effortless, the notion of drifting in space sounds like a pretty horrible reality to immerse yourself in. But it paid off – with 10 Oscar noms under its belt, Gravity appears to be floating into the award season. Newport, Rhode Island’s 100-plus year old Vanderbilt Grace created this drink to make you feel light as air while toasting to Bullock, Clooney, and their astro-comrades.

Ingredients:

2 ounce Absolut vodka

1 ounce peach liqueur

2 ounce orange juice

Dash of Grenadine

Dash of Blue Curacao

1 ounce St. Germaine

Preparation:

Pour a teaspoon of grenadine into a martini glass.

Pour the vodka, pear puree, and St. Germaine into an ice-filled shaker.

Shake and strain into the martini glass

Using a barspoon held over the glass and flipped so the rounded bottom is facing up, gently pour a small portion of the Blue Curacao over it so that it floats on top of the drink.

Serve.
