The White Carnation, the official flower of the Belmont Stakes, used to also be the name of the official drink of the third leg of racing’s triple crown until 1998. It is a combination of vodka, peach schnapps, and orange juice --with a splash of cream, and you can image the dangers of kicking back one too many of these.

2 oz. vodka
1/2 oz peach schnapps
2 oz. orange juice
soda water
splash of cream
Preparation:
Stir and pour over ice in a highball glass. Can garnish with an orange slice.
