The West 8th is Analogue's take on a Southside, one of the classic cocktails. They developed it a little — incorporating cucumber for its refreshing qualities and using vodka to appeal to a wider audience.  They often get requests for the drink to be made with gin, which they are happy to honor.  The West 8th was one of Analogue's original house cocktails, and it has truly stood the test of time.  It is both interesting and approachable, and it goes down smooth and easy. It's in honor of the street on which they're located - one that is experiencing a bit of a resurgence in NYC.
