What’s better than Chick-fil-A? How about free Chick-fil-A?
The fast-food chain is celebrating Cow Appreciation Day on July 10 for the 14th year in a row, giving away free entrées to those who participate.
Anyone interested in scoring free chicken can show up to one of the 2,200-plus participating locations wearing a cow costume or any sort of cow apparel from store opening until 7 p.m.
While this year’s eligible entrées haven’t been revealed yet, last year the restaurant gave away the Original Chicken Sandwich, seasonal Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich or breakfast favorite, and the Egg White Grill. Children dressed up in cow garb will receive a free Kid’s Meal.
Cow Appreciation Day was created to celebrate Chick-fil-A’s Eat Mor Chikin cows, the restaurant’s iconic mascot used in marketing campaigns, stores and merchandise.
Chick-fil-A is growing in popularity. According to a report released in April, the chain is poised to become the third largest in the country by 2020 in terms of sales, falling behind only McDonald’s and Starbucks.
