Zoe Saldaña’s “Colombiana” Opens Strong; New Film “Dominion” Already in the Works

Despite Hurricane Irene’s weekend wrath on the East Coast, Zoe Saldaña's "Colombiana," released by Sony, opened up strong with $10.3 million, just behind “The Help.”

"Colombiana" features Saldaña as an assassin out for revenge against the drug lords responsible for her parents' deaths.

The Dominican and Puerto Rican actress has already signed up to work on a new film called “Dominion,” in which, according to “The Hollywood Reporter,” she will play a half-angel, half human. The  Entertainment publication says that Saldaña will not only act, but will also co-produce the film.
