Zac Efron reportedly went to rehab for drug addiction

Zac Efron reportedly went through rehab earlier this year.

According to People, sources claim that the "Neighbors" star completed his stint about five months ago.

E! News first reported the story, quoting one source as saying that now Efron is "healthy" and "taking time to focus on working."

TMZ added that it was drug-- not alcohol-- abuse that sent the former Disney star to rehab.

Efron himself told E! that he's "good, real good," at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of his film "Parkland," opening October 4.

In the movie, Efron plays Jim Carrico, the first doctor to examine President John F. Kennedy after he was shot in Dealey Plaza.
