Last week, she was a little-known Spanish-language actress and a fledging singer hoping for a crossover hit that would make her a star in the U.S.

Overnight, Eiza Gonzalez became an Internet sensation after she was blamed for breaking up one of Hollywood’s hottest young couples – Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. Gonzalez and Hemsworth were photographed gallivanting in a Las Vegas nightclub over the weekend, just days before Cyrus and Hemsworth officially called off their wedding plans.

Now everyone seems to be intrigued by the young, hot Mexican telenovela actress who was known in Latin America but a stranger in Hollywood.

The 23-year-old, the daughter of former model Glenda Reyna, cut her teeth in television at age 16 when she starred in the teen-targeted Mexican soap “Lola … Erase una Vez" [Lola ... Once Upon a Time.]

She later starred in the crime drama “Mujeres Asesinas" [Female Assassins] and then released her first solo album “Contracorriente.”

She has lived in Buenos Aires, Mexico City and New York City.

She dated Mexican businessman Pepe Diaz for about two years. Gonzalez announced the breakup last month via Twitter – saying she had been single for over a month, according to People en Español.

“I’m happy ending a chapter in my life because another one is coming that has me very emotional,” she said via Twitter.

She also sent out list of attributes she looks for in men, saying she was looking for someone who had her appetite, enjoyed deep talks and walks in the rain.

Her relationship with Hemsworth is unclear – but already she has incurred the wrath of Cyrus fans who accuse her of breaking up wedding plans. But their relationship appeared to be on the rocks way before he was spotted with Gonzalez, and he was reportedly mortified by her recent bizarre behavior, including her raunchy performance at the Video Music Awards.

While it’s too soon to tell whether Hemsworth and Gonzalez will ever become an item, one thing seems pretty certain – he appears quite smitten with her.

“They never left each other’s sides,” an eyewitness told Life & Style magazine. “They were with a few people and spent a few minutes at the VIP DJ stage table. Then they headed back to a more private VIP bungalow cabana near the pool. They had drinks and talked in the bungalow. They left together with the rest of the group around 2 a.m.”
