Trump nemesis Alicia Machado makes shock 'DWTS' appearance

Could "Dancing with the Stars" be Alicia Machado's next move?

Former Miss Universe and Donald Trump critic turned up in the reality show's audience on Monday night, leading insiders to wonder if she's thinking of joining "DWTS" for a future season.

Viewers saw Machado twice on camera as a smiling audience member in the "DWTS" ballroom-- watching curvy talk show hostess Amber Rose and later, race car driver James Hinchcliffe.

And former "DWTS" competitor and TV personality Maria Menounos spilled the beans, posting a photo of her and Machado at the taping on Instagram -- with the comment, "Found this beauty tonight…#aliciamachado#dwts."

The surprise audience appearance might signal that the ex-beauty queen, who recently became a controversial figure in the presidential campaign when Hillary Clinton brought her up during the debate, could continue her fame.

Machado, who has accused Trump of calling her "Miss Piggy" after she put on weight, was wearing a black strappy dress and looking like she couldn't be happier enjoying the ABC show.

In fact, she tweeted out some official "DWTS" items about the dances on her Twitter feed after the show, which was a tribute to Cirque du Soleil.

Amusingly, given her alleged trouble after she packed on pounds as Miss Universe, Machado was spotted clapping for Rose, a curvy beauty who recently spoke out about feeling "body shamed" on "DWTS."

But the biggest question now is, will Machado continue her 15 minutes of fame by giving ballroom dance a try next season?

"Often, 'DWTS' producers approach people in the news to see if they would like to compete on the show—and if they are controversial, it's even better, like Ryan Lochte this season," an insider noted. "Many times, the celebrities check it out by being an audience member first and seeing if it might be something they'll want to do."
