Trevor Noah believes he has a lot more in common with President Donald Trump than what viewers might think.
“Sometimes when I look at Trump I see a lot in common, it’s like Harry Potter and Voldemort,” explained 33-year-old comedian and TV host to Playboy.

“We both came out of nowhere, we were both the crazy outsider choice who people said wouldn’t succeed, we both did it in a different way that people weren’t so happy with, we’ve both done way better than people anticipated, and now inevitably it means our destinies are linked," he said.
“Maybe the moment will come when both of us go head to head and one of us comes out alive,” added Noah.
Noah was referencing when he was asked to take over Jon Stewart’s place on “The Daily Show” in 2015 despite having zero experience interviewing celebrities from behind a desk, which resulted in criticism by viewers.
Playboy added that since Trump’s election win, audiences have been watching the show in record numbers, resulting in Noah earning his highest-rated month for January since his debut.

Noah was promoting his new stand-up special, titled “Afraid of The Dark,” which is currently streaming on Netflix. However, that didn’t stop him from also sharing what he really thought of Trump.
“I always say Donald Trump is like an asteroid heading for the planet which could kill everybody and we’re all afraid but at the same time, it’s shaped like a penis,” he told the publication. “So you’re in the place where you’re like, ‘Yeah it’s dangerous,’ but you can’t deny the moments where it’s so ludicrous you just have to laugh.
The key though, is to remember that the two things can exist simultaneously. You can laugh at a dangerous clown, but you must never forget that it is dangerous.”
