Love is in the X Factor air!

That’s right. It seems like cupid’s arrow has struck none other than Melanie Amaro and Stereo Hoggz’s lead singer Trace Kennedy the New York Post reported on its ‘Page Six’ gossip section.

Amaro, who’s been a fan favorite from day one after signing a rendition of Beyonce’s “Listen,” has been secretly seeing Kennedy for a few weeks, according to an undisclosed source.

Stereo Hoggz were blindsided and eliminated last month after putting together an over the top production of Janet Jackson’s classic song 1989 "Rhythm Nation."

Now that Amaro is in the top five and Kennedy has stayed in Los Angeles to work on his music, the romance has bloomed according to close friends. Last week the two posted a photo of them together on Twitter.

“They kept it secret at first, but they have been getting close,” said one of the sources. “Since Trace has been staying in LA to work on his music, while she is there for the show…they’ve been hanging out more.”

The friend added that “Melanie has been telling all her friends what a great guy” Kennedy is and that Kennedy “immediately liked Melanie when they met.”

Last week Amaro performed “Earth Song” in tribute to Michael Jackson as his children and mother sat in the audience admiring her rendition.

The friends added that Kennedy has “being so supportive for her now as the competition on the show heats up.”

If Amaro wins the X Factor she will take home a five million dollar contract as well as a recording contract to kick off her music career.
