Dear Friends of 'FOX & Friends,'
Hope you had a great weekend and today we were back to cable-casting.
What a day of weather we're having in the Northeast, with a . The taxi guy who drives me into the city at 3 a.m. called me to say "Mr. Doocy, my street is flooded and I can't get out of my driveway."
I told him to stay put with his family and I would drive myself into work (I've been driving myself to work since I was 13 — illegally — so a quick drive into NYC, not so tough.) Half an hour later, as I was walking out the door, he called to say, "I got out of my driveway and I'll be there in five minutes."
When I got in his car, I thanked him for the perilous ride while braving the rising flood waters.
"My house is full..." he said.
"Of water?" I asked.
"No, my in-laws... I had to get out."
That explains why he'd rather drive through standing water and brave 50 mile an hour winds... his in-laws were at his place!
Hope you had a chance to watch on Monday morning, as Gretchen wraps up her vacation, today we had from "The View" in the center chair. It was a perfect day for Elisabeth to appear, as talked about her in the Rosie blog for the day and I think Elisabeth was a little steamed. Well… as steamed as she gets.
Tomorrow on our program, we've got Newt Gingrich on the show: Will he or won't he run for president? Also Vivica A. Fox (potential running mate? No) and for the hundreds of thousands of you who entered our Breakfast with "FOX & Friends" Sweepstakes, Tuesday is the day we announce the winner. Tune in and find out if YOU WON!
Until then, stay dry and stay informed — watch FOX!
Steve Doocy
