"Jersey Shore" stars Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley say their spinoff show will be a modern-day "Laverne & Shirley."

“For our spinoff, you’re going to see more of a different side of us” than fans would on ‘Jersey Shore,’” Snooki told Fox411. “The spinoff is just me and Jenni and we just want to show more of our other side, not partying so much.”

“It’s more of our boyfriends, crazy families and other friends that are even more psychotic than the ones on the show,” JWOWW added. “[It’s just] us being us, like ‘Laverne & Shirley’ for 2012.”

The stars also opened up about Dawn Zimmer, mayor of Hoboken, NJ, nixing plans to film the show in the city for fears over “public safety.”

“That’s her call, I guess. Whatever, I’m not mad at her,” Snooki said. “I think our show would do Hoboken good.”

“We don’t pick a place to destroy it, we pick a place to enjoy it, bring it revenue, profit, help the town out,” JWoww said. “When we thought of Hoboken, we thought, ‘Man, we would love to give this town more press, more profit, more revenue for the small business owners.’ So why deny that for them?”

“We definitely don’t want to be in a place where we’re not wanted, so it’s fine,” Snooki said.

The reality stars also opened up about rumors, including reports last week that Snooki was pregnant.

“There’s a lot of rumors, when you’re in the spotlight there’s going to be a lot of rumors, so whatever,” she said.

Whatever indeed.
