Shakira Files Legal Docs Against Ex Who Wants $100 Million, Report

Shakira may be filthy rich, but she is not giving her longtime ex and agent Antonio de la Rúa one cent.

“The Voice” judge has filed legal documents against De la Rúa claiming he was already an international success when they met back in 2000, according to a new report from entertainment publication TMZ.

Shakira also claims that although he advised her on a few things, he was never officially her manager and there was never a contract stating that either.

As Fox News Latino reported back in September, a lawyer for the Colombian singer’s ex-boyfriend says the pop superstar didn't leave his client any other option but to file a New York lawsuit to demand she pay him $100 million in compensation for managing her career. He'd been threatening to file the lawsuit for months.

William T. Reid IV said De la Rúa tried to talk to Shakira about what he's owed but she refused to even give him an audience.

Reid said Monday his client "didn't really want to do this."

De la Rúa is the son of former Argentine President Fernando de la Rúa. He dated Shakira for more than a decade, and they split in 2010. He filed the lawsuit Nov. 20.

TMZ added that Shakira did state in the lawsuit that she and De la Rúa had signed an agreement back in 2006 in Colombia, that if they ever decided to go their separate ways they would keep their individual assets.

Shakira, according to the website, wants the lawsuit dismissed as soon as possible.
