Her love life may be the talk of tabloid fodder, but Selena Gomez’s professional life has reached a new high point.

The triple threat starlet achieved one of the most coveted milestones in the music industry on Monday when her single "Come & Get It" climbed to the No. 1 spot on the charts.

The minute Gomez heard the news, she took to Twitter to thank her fans.

“This has been 1 of my proudest achievements & I couldn't do it without everyone! So grateful,” the 20-year-old wrote.

Gomez also followed up the tweet by sharing a link to a video showing her emotional reaction when she learned she was topping the charts.

“That’s amazing!” Gomez says in the video.

Wiping away tears, she adds “I didn’t think I’d do it. I didn’t think I would.”

Her voice still shaking, Gomez, whose new album Stars Dance comes out July 23, went on to thank her fans.

“I’ve done four records and this is the first No. 1 that I’ve ever had so I can’t not thank you guys enough….I love you all.”

With her 21st birthday weeks away and the drama of her ex boyfriend Justin Bieber behind her, it seems Gomez is only going up from here.
