Scotty McCreery was the victim of a home invasion-style robbery early Monday morning, police said.

Raleigh Police spokesman Jim Sughrue says officers were called shortly before 2 a.m. to an apartment about a mile from the North Carolina State University campus, where McCreery is a student. Three suspects armed with guns are reported to have taken wallets, cash and electronic items.

No one was injured.

Neighbors spoke to WTVD, saying they heard a group of people charging up the stairs.

“All you heard was yelling like ‘Who are you? What are you doing here?’ for a good five minutes. It was just yelling,” one neighbor told the news station.

"I will share more when the time is right, but as of now we do not want to do or say anything that could hinder the investigation. Thanks to everyone for the prayers and support.
