They may only perform songs popularized two decades ago, but 80s cover-band Rubix Kube is anything but going out of style.

The group celebrates their three-year anniversary for the Back to the Eighties Show at the Canal Room in New York City Friday, and have a host of celebrity guests ready to attend. The list includes 80s heavyweights like Mike Score from Flock of Seagulls, Tiffany and JJ Fadd.

Fox411 had the group in the studio earlier this week, where they opened up about their loyal fans, their colorful costumes and three years of living the 80s over again.

“We formed the band in 2007 we did it because we all truly love the 80s and we all have a true need to play these songs the right way,” singer Cherie Martorana said. “We kept going out to clubs and seeing other bands murder our favorite decade of music and we just thought let's do it, let's do it right.”

The group began playing at the Canal Room in 2009 and earned such a following with their 80s gear and cover of the decades’ biggest hits that they sold out each night.

“We can cover the new wave stuff we can cover the serious rock stuff we can cover punk stuff, the entire gamut of it,” singer Scott Lovelady said. “There are only two rules about the music we do - we do everything we can from the 80s but it's got to be on the charts 1980-1989 and you got to be able to dance to it. Or rock-out. Bang your head in some way."

Tonight’s celebration will also have a surprise celeb guest and of course, tons of 80s memorabilia and music.
