Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro has paid a multi-million dollar tax lien from his 2013 Internal Revenue Service filing, his lawyer told the New York Daily News.

The 71-year-old owed over $6.4 million from his personal filing for that year, according to documents furnished to the New York City Department of Finance and first obtained by The Smoking Gun.

“If they sent the bill to the right address, it would have gotten paid sooner,” his lawyer, Tom Harvey, told the Daily News.

De Niro's lien listed his address as his investment property in TriBeCa, the home neighborhood of the film festival he co-founded.

Worth over $200 million, the "Godfather" actor also holds major stakes in properties in Los Angeles and London.
