Report: Justin Bieber’s bodyguard arrested for assault

First, it was Chris Brown’s bodyguard. Now, it’s Justin Bieber’s own security who may be taking the whole protecting a pop star thing a little too far.

And getting arrested for it.

According to the Kauai Police Department, 32-year-old Dwayne Patterson was arrested for third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal property damage on Wednesday in the parking lot of Shipwreck’s Beach in Hawaii, Celebuzz has learned. Although police could not confirm Patterson is Bieber’s bodyguard, the scene of the alleged assault is exactly where Bieber was filmed jumping off a cliff straight into the ocean.

TMZ is reporting the burly guy is, in fact, part of the crooner’s security team and a scuffle with a local photog landed him in the slammer.

Police told Celebuzz a 29-year-old Hanalei man had been taking unsolicited photos and when Patterson requested he delete the pics and was refused, he allegedly assaulted the photographer, damaging his camera in the altercation.

Although the victim walked away unscathed, the same probably couldn’t be said of the bodyguard’s pride… and definitely his wallet.

He was released after posting $3,000 bail.

And the case is still under investigation.
