Hugh Hefner appears to branching out from his preference for beautiful women with blond hair and big … um … blue eyes.

In December, Hefner’s iconic men’s magazine, Playboy, will gain a little sabor when it launches a bimonthly version called Playboy Latino, which will feature editorial content from the original main magazine in both English and Spanish.

Oh, and even though everyone buys Playboy for its articles, there will also be spreads and pictorials featuring some of the most gorgeous Latinas willing to bare it all.

“We are thrilled to begin publishing Playboy Latino for the fast-growing U.S. Latino and Spanish-speaking market,” said Playboy Latino publisher and editor-in-chief Edgardo Iorio. “The past 30 years have produced a significant shift in the U.S. demographic, and a new generation of Spanish-speaking consumers has emerged.”

Playboy has come along from when it featured its first Latina centerfold back in 1974, when the Panamanian-born model Ester Cordet graced the pages of the magazine. Her pictorial helped land Cordet the gig to model for the iconic Ohio Players album "Honey," where she was covered in, you guessed it, honey.

The new edition of Playboy will join the 26 foreign editions of the magazine already in print – including ones from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Spain and Venezuela.

Sadly for many fans, the magazine will not be available on local newsstands or wherever one purchases classy men’s mags and instead will be subscription-based only. All signs do, however, seem to point that Playboy’s new caliente version will have no trouble finding subscribers.
