For international superstar Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, the sky is the limit.
In the latest issue of Billboard magazine, the Miami native says that “constantly outdoing yourself” is key to success.
Earlier this week Pitbull, 30, released his sixth album, “Planet Pit,” in which he collaborates with numerous artists, including Marc Anthony, Enrique Iglesias, Chris Brown, and Ne-Yo.
"I just ask myself, 'If I were in a club or an arena or a stadium, would this make me go crazy?'”
In the interview with Billboard, Pitbull explained his formula for nailing hits. "I make music with no boundaries. Every time I reach a new audience, that means I'm doing something right.”
The superstar MC also credits the diverse Latin music he grew up listening to for giving him a “bird’s-eye view.”
“Merengue, freestyle, cha-cha, bass, hip-hop, dancehall… that’s what allows me to create music that crosses all genres,” Pitbull added.
