Mischa Barton owes a screenwriter a lot of money.
A judge ordered the actress, 30, to pay screenwriter Daniel Lief a whopping $200,000 plus interest after she failed to show up for production on a film in which she was slated to star, TMZ reports.
Lief filed a suit in September 2015, alleging that Barton missed the March 4 start date of his film “Promoted,” and that he found out from an email from Barton’s mother that the starlet was vacationing in Europe and wouldn’t be available for at least two weeks.
Lief’s claims are corroborated by Barton’s own Twitter account, which boasts photos in Rome during the period in question.
Lief claims that the delay in production, as well as Barton’s re-casting, cost him more than $300,000.
A rep for Barton didn’t return a request for comment.
