Michael Lohan's Ex-Girlfriend Kate Major Arrested for Alleged Assault on Plane Passenger

Just as Lindsay Lohan was checking into jail, her father's estranged girlfriend Kate Major was also in custody after being arrested at LAX airport over an alleged airplane battery.

Michael Lohan's ex is accused of assaulting a passenger on a Delta Air Lines flight from LAX to Tampa, Fla., at 11:45pm local time Sunday, TMZ reported.

Cops say she was escorted off the flight after the incident and arrested on charges of misdemeanor battery. She was cited and released at about 2:00am.

Major, a former tabloid journalist, was intoxicated during the alleged assault, sources told the gossip website.

It is thought Major, who has requested a restraining order on her former boyfriend following an alleged assault, was traveling to Florida ahead of a court hearing Tuesday related to the case.

Major claimed that Lohan turned violent at her Tampa apartment in October and threatened to kill her when she refused to perform a sex act on him, leaving her with bruises on her arms and marks on her legs.
