Did Matthew Broderick turn down a "Ferris Bueller" sequel?

The actor admitted to Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" that there was talk of making a follow-up to the hit 80's flick but it fell through.

"It was discussed but it kind of never went very far," Broderick explained. "But it wasn't me, it was just nobody really agreed on what to do and when to do it."

Cohen asked the actor, who is married to "Sex and the City" star Sarah Jessica Parker, if he regrets not pushing for a sequel.

"Now I look back and I think, 'Yeah that was a great idea.' They should have done a lot of them...I think what I would have had now."
