Matt Lauer complains he's a victim of 'misinformation'

In Matt Lauer's first interview since he was fired from NBC over sexual misconduct allegations, the disgraced anchor discussed his ongoing legal battle over a piece of New Zealand land he purchased in 2017.

It appears that Matt Lauer and his soon-to-be ex-wife are attempting to keep their relationship civil, in spite of the sexual misconduct allegations leveled against him and their impending divorce.

Sources told Page Six that the disgraced “Today” host and his estranged ex, Dutch former model Annette Roque, were spotted with a large group at sceney Italian spot Serafina in East Hampton — but that the former couple kept their distance from each other.

We’re told, “Matt’s wife sat at the head of the table, and he sat a few seats away from her.”

Lauer and Roque were with Hamptons power lawyer Edward Burke Jr., his wife, another couple and about 10 kids, including Lauer’s.

A spy said the group sat outside, and the presence of Lauer — who’s kept a low profile since his ouster from NBC’s “Today” show in November — caused “a few whispers” among fellow diners.

After dinner, we’re told, “They gathered by the car outside, said goodbye to each other, and Matt rode off by himself on a motorcycle.”

Lauer and Roque married in 1998 — though she filed for divorce in 2006 before withdrawing the papers.

Lauer was canned after an NBC employee claimed that he sexually harassed her while they were covering the Sochi Olympics in 2014, and that his behavior continued after they returned to New York. Announcing the firing to staff, NBC News chairman Andy Lack said that it “may not have been an isolated incident.”

At the time, Lauer said, “Some of what is being said about me is untrue or mischaracterized, but there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed and ashamed.”

Page Six reported this month that Lauer and Roque’s divorce — filed in January, two months after the scandal broke — is close to being settled. We reported earlier this year that Roque was seen at an upscale eatery in Amsterdam with a pal looking like she was bouncing back.

A rep for Lauer declined to comment.
