Ole! Ole! Ole! The official anthem of this year’s World Cup in Brazil has been released.
Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez, working as a dynamic duo, have repeatedly created explosive music with “One the Floor” and “Dance Again.”
So it makes sense that the two linked up once again for “We Are One (Ole Ola)” for the official 2014 FIFA World Cup Song.
The Latin stars also recruited Brazilian artist Claudia Leitte to lend her vocals to the song, giving the tune more rhythmic depth.
“We Are One” continues the Miami rapper’s successful musical formula – he raps the verses and lets the ladies do their thing with the chorus.
Pitbull and JLo’s anthem is not the only song making its way to the World Cup this year.
Ricky Martin, who famously lent his voice for the 1998 World Cup song for France, partnered with Sony for the song “Viva” with artist Elijah King.
Colombian singer Carlos Vives teamed with Coca-Cola for “La Copa de Todos” (“Everyone’s Cup”), which he said will represent all of Latin America.
An anti-World Cup anthem was also released as a tuneful condemnation of corruption and waste in Brazil’s push to host the tournament. The song is called “Disculpe Neymar” [Sorry, Neymar], named after the Brazilian soccer sensation.
