Jessica Simpson officially unveiled her post-baby weight loss on Tuesday when she sat down as Katie Couric’s first guest on “Katie.”

"I'm very nervous!" she admitted. "I just had a lot of pressure on me to lose the baby weight. Today was one of my goals: getting here, feeling comfortable. I feel beautiful today!"

The singer, wearing a fitted black dress, said she lost a 40 pounds since giving birth to her daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson in May.

True to her bubbly-ditzy persona, Simpson believed that when her water broke she would lose the baby weight. "All the weight did not come off with the baby!" she laughed.

"I put on more baby weight than I was planning on putting on,” she said to Couric. “I really have to separate myself from the world's expectations and really just look inside myself and be healthy with myself."

She continued about how her $3 million weight loss endorsement with Weight Watchers is “definitely a challenge.” She said she won’t receive the money until she reaches her target weight.
