Jennifer Lopez is returning to the judge’s table.

The singer and actress, previously a judge on “American Idol,” will be on the panel for her new “World of Dance” competition series, NBC announced Wednesday.

"I identify with the struggles, passion, discipline, competition and exhilaration of dance," said Lopez in a statement. "I am excited that with this show we can skyrocket a dancer's career and help guide them to success."

The 10-episode series will challenge contestants to demonstrate their skills in an unlimited range of dance, including hip-hop, krumping, ballet and ballroom. The winner gets $1 million.

Lopez was previously announced as an executive producer for “World of Dance.”

"This show centers on the need to celebrate and reward the art and athleticism of the dance community and there is no one more passionate about that then Jennifer," said Meredith Ahr, President of Universal Television Alternative Studio.  "Her role at the judges' table takes our joint ambitions to the next level, and we can't wait to get started."

Would-be competitors can register online at www.worldofdancecasting.com. Qualifying events will be held nationwide.

An air date for "World of Dance" was not announced.
