Olympic swimmer and notorious fibber Ryan Lochte will appear on "Dancing with the Stars" this season, according to USA Today -- a rumor that follows a fast and fierce round of speculation. While an ABC rep would not officially confirm in a conversation with TVGuide.com, Lochte has been dropping hints that he'd appear, or at least like to, for the past several days. "I've been thinking a lot about it," he told People Wednesday.

Of course, the casting comes at a time when Lochte could definitely use a career pick-me-up (and a check) since he lost all his endorsements after his story about being robbed at gunpoint during the Olympics was proven untrue. For now, America's favorite sex idiot has been silent about the news on Twitter.

That's just the latest buzz for "Dancing with the Stars" this week. TV personality Amber Rose was announced as a cast member and dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy is returning after several seasons away, E! reported Wednesday. ABC will announce the full Season 23 lineup during "Good Morning America" Aug. 30.
