'Glee' Star Jayma Mays Battles Little Blue Man in Her Toilet in 'The Smurfs'

Jayma Mays, who plays germ-phobic guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury on “Glee,” says that even though she has “a lot of anxieties” in real life, she’s nothing like her OCD character.

“I’m kind of filthy at home,” the bubbly actress admitted Tuesday on “Fox & Friends.”

Mays also addressed the rumors surrounding the exit of several “Glee” stars next season, “Some of our cast members are going to be leaving at the end of the year, so I don’t know if that’s going to propel the story in a different way—you can never expect what (series creator) Ryan Murphy is going to write for us.”

And will Emma Pillsbury ever find true love with Matthew Morrison’s drama teacher, Will Schuester?

“I don’t know. I hope so. I feel like those two are destined to be together at some point,” she said.

During a break from filming “Glee,” Mays also got to work on the summer kids’ movie “The Smurfs.”

“It’s tricky,” says Mays of filming the CGI animated flick. “You work with a little gelatinous Smurf at first, and they kind of puppet that around for you. Then they take that away, and eventually you’re just working with stickers all around the room.”

In one pivotal scene, Mays battles a small blue man who has invaded her toilet. “A lot of my bathroom experiences go that way,” May jokes.

Mays had an easier time with costar Neil Patrick Harris, “He was a dream to work with,” she says. “I was excited to work with him. He’s amazing. I have such a crush!”
