From the website: There are a number of very personal reasons why I created Frogman Charities, Inc.:
As a retired Navy SEAL I have a very clear understanding of the many hardships and sacrifices that our military and their families make and live with on a daily basis. The men and woman in uniform are often deployed in harm’s way or away from home training for combat, sometimes up to 300 days a year.  It is far too often that our troops return home injured and/or do not make it home alive. The only people who truly appreciate the magnitude of these sacrifices are the men and women in uniform and their families. Living on a military salary generally meets the needs of the military family but when tragedy strikes, these families require much more than they receive.

As a race promoter and director, over the last couple of decades I created and directed: SEAL training courses, duathlons, triathlons, off-road triathlons, double and triple Ironman events, off-road triathlons, obstacle course races, and adventure races from 1 to 10 days in duration. I have great passion for outdoor endurance sports regardless of the distance or terrain, and have a sincere life-long passion for creating experiences for athletes similar to what I have experienced throughout my life as a competitor. Not everybody is interested in grueling competitions, but almost everybody could be interested in walking or running 5K for a good cause.
