This week’s Fox 411 Country Round-up starts with fun on the red carpet at the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards!  Stars from Keith Urban to Sugarland told us what they had been up to in the days leading up to that Las Vegas show otherwise known as country music’s party of the year.

Meanwhile, country music stars didn’t just spend their time in Las Vegas accepting awards, they also did plenty of giving back.  That winning Duo Thompson Square joined in the “ACM Concert – Salute to the Military” presented by NRA Country.  Along with Larry Gatlin and The Gatlin Brothers, Lee Brice, John Rich and more, they were on hand as NRA Country Cares and ACM Lifting Lives donated $50,000 to military charities.

In other charity news, Big Machine label mates Rascal Flatts, Martina Mcbride, The Band Perry, Eden’s Edge, and others along with General Mills announced the launch of their nationwide initiative through Outnumber Hunger to help Feeding America in local communities.

We caught up with Rascal Flatts as they held a New York premiere for their one-night-only concert documentary in support of their 8th studio album “Changed”.  While there they told us about this Outnumber Hunger campaign. Joe Don Rooney explained, “You go in and buy a General Mills product, you’ll see a Rascal Flatts face on the front of it.  There’s a code on the back that helps you secure 5 meals at your local food bank.”
