Get ready to start seeing a whole lot more of Teresa Moore.

The New Zealand native was recently chosen as one of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit "hopefuls," meaning she might soon be modeling for the 2016 Swimsuit Issue — or better yet, be crowned its "Rookie of the Year."

"Oh my god, I was so excited!" she tells FOX News Magazine of making the initial cut. "I know how many girls go in to see [the editors], and it was just such an honor. I just hope I get it. It would be amazing."

Moore, whose previous work includes campaigns for H&M and L'Oreal, began modeling at an early age in Auckland, New Zealand, where she was discovered in somewhat of an unlikely place. "I was with my mom, just shopping downtown," Moore remembers of the moment a scout approached her. "I was kind of excited, but I didn't know if it was for real!"

It was for real, all right — and it all led to Moore snagging a spot in SI Swimsuit's 2016 Casting Call.

Watch the video at the top of the page to hear Moore explain the Sports Illustrated casting process, which included interviews, playing "Never Have I Ever" in an online video, and (of course) posing for plenty of bikini photos.
