Lloyd Christmas is dusting off his orange tux as the makers of "Dumb & Dumber" confirm a long-awaited sequel.

Days after the "Anchorman" and "Twins" comebacks were announced, director Peter Farrelly revealed Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels have signed for the follow-up to the 1994 hit, The Sun reports.

The film-maker said: “We’ve always wanted to do a sequel. Jeff always wanted to do it. We always wanted to do it. Jim was busy, but he called and said, ‘We’ve got to do this thing again’.

“He’d just watched 'Dumb & Dumber' and he said, ‘This is the perfect sequel. Let’s do it.’”

Farrelly, who had nothing to do with the panned "Dumb & Dumber: When Harry Met Lloyd," will begin shooting with brother Bob in September.
