Demi Lovato had to apologize on Tuesday night after an ill-advised joke about the presidential election.

The singer, who supported Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton throughout the campaign, got into some trouble for a tweet she said was just trying to make “light of the election.”

“Sometimes you just have to agree to disagree and grab some p***y” Lovato wrote in a since-deleted tweet.

The tweet referenced the leaked “Access Hollywood” tapes in which president-elect Donald Trump made lewd comments about women to former host Billy Bush in 2005.

After deleting the tweet, Lovato apologized to her more than 39.4 million followers.

“I apologize for the joke I made earlier.. seemed to offend some people. Just making light of the election :” she wrote.

The 24-year-old has been an ardent supporter of Clinton and even appeared at several campaign stops this year, including at the Democratic National Convention in July. Earlier in the evening she expressed her support for the former Secretary of State.

"#IVotedBecause I believe in equality, we need comprehensive immigration reform, I am pro-choice and global warming IS real. #ImWithHer" she wrote.
