It was a daring jewel heist that any of Spider-Man's foes would be proud of.

Willem Dafoe, 55, who once played Spidey's archenemy the Green Goblin, was the victim of cat burglars who used ropes and mountain-climbing gear to break into his apartment in Rome, Italy, the New York Post reported Tuesday.

On Sunday night, thieves lowered themselves from the roof to get into the antique-filled, top-floor pad he shares with his Italian actress wife, Giada Colagrande, cops say.

Twice Oscar-nominated Dafoe, who also lives in Greenwich Village, was not there at the time.

An unnamed American friend of the couple was there and told police she received an alert of a break-in via the alarm system.

A police rep in Rome said the stolen goods included "jewelry, but we are waiting for the owner to return to draw up a full list."

Italian reports say goods worth $4,200 were missing, but Dafoe's rep put the figure at $3,000.

Dafoe, in New Mexico filming "Odd Thomas," declined to comment.
