'Dancing With The Stars' recap: Mischa Barton eliminated, Kim Fields pays homage to 'Facts of Life'

Mischa Barton got eliminated on Monday night's "Dancing with the Stars" after a disastrous three weeks on the show.

As FOX411 reported last week, the former "The O.C." actress raised eyebrows with her poor dancing and attitude while partner Artem Chigvintsev insisted she was doing her best and hoped for improvement.

But it was not to be as the couple earned a mere 18 out of a possible 30 points, the lowest score on Monday's show.

Still, the judges praised Mischa for dancing joyfully during "my most memorable year" theme week after Barton explained to viewers how she fled the spotlight after leaving "The O.C." in 2008.

Dancer Sharna Burgess, the partner of football player Antonio Brown, told FOX411, "I feel like with everybody working so hard, she had a tough week last week and unfortunately, it made it seem as though she wasn't sure if she wanted to be here or not and we know that there are so many people that do. That's not to say she didn't—she's a really sweet wonderful girl--but sometimes live TV can just paint you in a different way."

Meanwhile, deaf competitor and "America's Next Top Model" star Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd brought the house down with a tango as DiMarco recalled traveling Europe in 2012 without an interpreter.

DiMarco and Murgatroyd nabbed the night's highest score (25) while other competitors weren't far behind. Boyz II Men singer Wanya Morris got 24 points, "Full House" star Jodie Sweetin and UFC fighter Paige VanZant each got a 23, Kim Fields earned a 22, Ginger Zee and Marla Maples each scored a 21, and football players Antonio Brown, Von Miller, and Doug Flutie all earned a 20.

Former "The Facts of Life" star Fields paid tribute to her signature role as Tootie with her routine and, in a mini-TV reunion, former co-star Charlotte Rae cheered her on in the audience.

Rae, 89, who played Fields' boarding school housemother, told the cameras that child star Fields was "full of piss and vinegar" and the white-haired actress wanted viewers to know, "I'm 4'7" and still above ground!"

After the show, Fields told FOX411 she doesn't hang out with Rae (who will turn 90 this month) because "Charlotte's too busy. Charlotte had to leave here early to go rehearse for her play so she ain't got time for me right now. I was glad she was able to give me this little that she did."

Fields said of her "Facts" salute, in which she danced in a replica of the show's set, "I'm not a huge fan of what I perceive as going backwards but ... it really became more of ... being able to say thank you to all the fans."

In one of the saddest moments of the night, Flutie brought the crowd to tears by recalling how last year, both of his parents died of heart attacks one hour apart.

Maples honored 1993, the year her daughter was born, while weathergal Zee recollected meeting future husband Ben Aaron in 2013.

NBC journalist Aaron brought their son Adrian, just three months old, on camera after Zee's dance and joked of the crying baby, "He's upset about Geraldo [Rivera's elimination] still."

Sweetin told the cameras her favorite year was 2015 because that's when the "Full House" spinoff, "Fuller House" launched. She has been clean and sober for five years after suffering a drug problem that began after "Full House" ended.

Following the show, she told FOX411 she has learned "that I'm much stronger than I think I am and that feelings won't kill you as much as they hurt sometimes."

Sweetin admitted that being a former child star whose show had ended was "a huge transition. What happens with a lot of kids in this business, teenage life kind of sucks anyway and ... then you add in a layer of being very confused about what you're supposed to do now."

VanZant won her first UFC fight in her most memorable year, 2014, and revealed that she was bullied as a kid. After her fighting-themed Paso Doble with partner Mark Ballas, she told FOX411, "The only thing that matters is that you grow from it."

Ballas is feeling much better after missing last week's show due to a back injury. Backstage, he confided to reporters that his fiancée, singer BC Jean, gave him a diamond engagement ring as a Christmas gift after he'd ringed her before Thanksgiving. "She got down on one knee," he laughed. Ballas and Jean are deep into wedding planning.
