Courtney Love brushed away tears during a Q&A for the Kurt Cobain documentary “Montage of Heck” at the Tribeca Film Festival Sunday, saying, “I experienced some shame this time.”

Love, who’s seen the film four times, told the crowd at Spring Studios, “Mostly I got really sad when I watched it before. But, you know, guilt, and what I could have done . . . I got to spend a little more time with Kurt and (daughter) Frances.”

She trailed off as she teared up.

The film shows intimate shots of Cobain and Love in bed kissing.

“Me and Kurt only had this one tape . . . and so we recorded over and over,” she said. “Everyone makes one sex tape in their life, so we did.”

Love described Cobain as her best friend: “It’s that punch-drunk love thing . . . where you met your soul mate and you’re 25 and you’re just [bleeping] and talking and fighting and [bleeping]. So there’s other kinds of love and more mature kinds of love . . . with him, it was like a soul matey thing.”
