Ariel Winter and her older sister, Shanelle Gray, want nothing to do with their mother.

On the heels of their mom dragging the “Modern Family” actress’ name through the press over her famously skimpy fashions, Gray told the New York Post that she and Winter are sadly “not surprised” by their mother Chrystal Workman’s blabbering.

Workman gave an interview to In Touch magazine this week criticizing 19-year-old Winter for not wearing enough clothing. Winter fired back by tweeting, “I’m doing just fine. Toxic.”

“It’s just the expectation,” Gray, 38, told us. “My mother has always been dreaming of the spotlight, which is why she had two daughters … I think this is her way of keeping her name in the headlines.”

She added that Winter “has no interest in our birth mother.”

“Ariel is wonderful and doing amazing,” Gray, who considers Winter her “best friend,” told us. “I’m not concerned at all. She’s one of the smartest people I know.”

Winter became emancipated in May 2015 after years of drama with her estranged mom. Gray became her guardian.

Gray, who has two daughters of her own, added that her younger sister is “amazingly grounded for what she’s been through.”

“She is a classy, smart, beautiful woman inside and out and is a great, positive role model for women everywhere — especially to my daughters,” Gray said.
