Memorabilia from Disneyland including ride vehicles, employee's uniforms and vintage popcorn buckets generated more than $1.7 million at auction.

The Orange County Register reports that Van Eaton Galleries in Sherman Oaks held "The Collecting Disneyland" auction Saturday. About 650 people registered to bid online, by phone or in person on the more than 800 Disneyland items.

Most of the items came from three collectors who acquired the stuff from Disney special sales, former employees or other collectors.

High-priced items include an original Rocket to the Moon attraction poster that hung in Disneyland in 1956, which sold for $28,750, an animatronic head specific to Tokyo Disneyland, which sold for $57,000, and a park bench once planted on Disneyland's Main Street, U.S.A., which sold for $31,600.
