Ready to walk right on theme park rides?

There are lots of reasons to visit Orlando during the fall, and it’s not just about fewer crowds in the parks.

It’s also a great time to save big time on hotels and restaurants.

It’s Orlando’s “Deal Season” with hotels as low as $64 a night. For example, the all-suites Nick Suites Resorts is offering up to 40 percent off during that time frame, while Disney resorts are touting 30 percent off certain weeks and a free dining plan.

Walt Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin resort doesn’t limit kids to the kids’ menu with its kids-eat-free (under 10) deal that’s part of the resort’s Love Your Family Rates start at just $139. Or come in mid October for its Food and Wine Classic.

Adults and older kids will love another food event, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival when the park blooms with samples, fall blossoms and a more sophisticated crowd. This year from September 28 to -November 12, 2013.

Check Visit Orlando for the latest deals. TheMagicard offers discounts on everything from attractions to accommodations and restaurants.

Another good reason is that it is cooler, and rides like the new SeaWorld Antarctica attraction—(those penguins are cute!) won’t require hour-long waits. (Stay at a SeaWorld partner hotel and you can get in an hour early.)

With preschoolers, you can still enjoy hotel pools, and there are not nearly as many kids waiting to meet and greet characters.

Just don’t forget your mouse ears!
