New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points as the New York Knicks stayed hot with a 113-106 win over the Orlando Magic on Friday.

Jason Smith supplied 19 points and five rebounds, Lance Thomas netted 16 points and Langston Galloway had 15 points and eight boards for the Knicks, who won three game in a row for the first time this season.

"We're competing and playing for each other," Thomas said. "It's working for us and we have to keep it going."

Despite Nikola Vucevic tying a season-high with 34 points and grabbing 18 rebounds, the Magic lost their fourth straight game. Victor Oladipo and Channing Frye scored 15 and 14 points, respectively, in defeat.

"We can't really worry about the past ... We got to get a win," Oladipo said.

The Magic surged ahead with a 16-4 run as Vucevic's one-handed slam and Tobias Harris' 3-point play made it a 96-94 game with four minutes remaining.

New York, however, went back in front after it scored on three straight possessions and took a 103-98 lead on Thomas' putback dunk with under two minutes to play.

Thomas' hook shot and Galloway's triple with 54.4 seconds remaining sealed the win.

Vucevic scored 10 points and Orlando used an 11-0 run to hold a 26-20 lead after the first quarter.

Tim Hardaway Jr. drained a shot from beyond the arc to ignite a 7-0 swing that tied the game at 31-31 just over four minutes into the second frame. With under two minutes to play, Galloway's reverse layup and Anthony's dunk capped a tight first half as the Knicks led 51-50 at the break.

Trailing 78-77 with under a minute to play in the third, Hardaway made all three foul shots after he was fouled behind the arc and Shane Larkin's driving layup beat the buzzer to give the Knicks an 82-78 lead heading into the final stanza.

Anthony started the fourth with a trey and sparked an 8-2 burst which was capped by Larkin's layup for a 10-point advantage with 9:21 to play.

The Knicks last won three consecutive games when it closed out last season with four straight wins ... Vucevic also scored 34 points against Portland on Jan. 10 ... New York is 9-2 over its last 11 matchups with Orlando ... The two teams meet again in Orlando on Feb. 11.
