Selena Gomez has something new to show, and it's in Arabic.

The 21-year-old starlet visited New York-based tattoo artist Bang Bang McCurdy during a recent trip to the Big Apple for some inspirational new ink.

Written in Arabic script, the new tattoo reads: “Love Yourself First.”

Gomez shared a picture of new tattoo on Instagram, captioning it: “Art by @bangbangnyc – from my first to my last. It’s always this fool.”

McCurdy shared a similar photo, which shows Gomez’s tattoo on the upper right side of her back.

“Little gift for my friend @selenagomez,” he captioned it.

He told E! News that he did the tattoo about a month ago, adding that “she had been wanting this one for a while.”

"Selena already had it written out how she wanted," he said. "The tattoo is about 4 inches, and didn't take too long, probably about 30-45 minutes. The longest part is laying it out. We played with it a bit laying it out, until we found the perfect spot."

This is not the first tattoo for the “Come and Get It” singer. She has a small phrase written in cursive on her right hip, a small music note on her wrist and the Roman numerals for 76 on her neck, for the year her mother was born.

McCurdy said the former Disney Channel star loved her new ink and was already talking about another.

“But we haven’t talked plans just yet,” he added. “There are always plans to do another one.”
